Is there life (in caves) on Mars?

Sunday, September 23, 2007 Caves have been found on Mars – and they could be home to alien life, scientists said on Sunday. The entrances to seven possible caverns on the slopes of a 16km-high (10mile) Martian volcano called Arsia Mons were spotted by Nasa satellites. The find will fuel suggestions that life may exist in ‘underground habitats’ on the Red Planet. The caves could one day become shelters for astronauts, scientists at the US space agency said.  School Guards Break Child’s Arm And Arrest Her For Dropping CakeSchool security guards in Palmdale, CA have been caught on camera assaulting a 16-year-old girl and breaking her arm after she spilled some cake during lunch and left some crumbs on the floor after cleaning it up. The incident occurred last week at Knight High School in Palmdale and was caught on a cell phone camera by another pupil who was then also assaulted by the security guards.

Watch video of the incident here and here.

The girl, Pleajhai Mervin, told Fox News LA that she was bumped while queuing for lunch and dropped the cake. After being ordered to clean it up and then re-clean the spot three times, she attempted to leave the area out of embarrassment but was jumped on by security who forced her onto a table, breaking her wrist in the process.

Pleajhai also says that the security guard in the picture yelled “hold still nappy-head” at her, which at the time she did not know was a racist comment.

Woman Locked Up for 70 Years After Being Falsely Accused of Stealing 13p

Cheshire: Two brothers who believed their sister was long dead have discovered her by chance in an institution. Their sister, Jean Gambell, was ‘certified’ and institutionalised in 1937 by a doctor who believed she had stolen 13p from his surgery. The money was later discovered but the decision to institutionalise the young woman was never reversed. When the brothers went to see her, now 85-years-old and deaf, she remembered them both by name and hugged them.“They basically locked her up and threw away the key and she was stuck in the system. She just got moved from one institution to another. What a waste of a poor, innocent girl’s life,” said her brother David.

Leftist Blogs Defend Police Brutality In Student Tazering

Only when Meyer was immobile and had five officers on top of him did the police decide to send 50,000 volts of electricity coursing through his prostrate body, seemingly waiting until Meyer begged them not to do it so as to enjoy the maximum power trip from administrating the torture.
